My house presented a number of issues: windows that had been unevenly set, situated in an historic district, and in a planned community with strict-HOA rules on work hours. My new windows are Marvin Elevate windows and I love them. They are much better than the original windows both on noise reduction and heat transfer. Before, leaving the shades up while the sun was out had a greenhouse effect; the house heated up very quickly. With the new windows, I can leave the shades down or up with minimal heat impact.
I also want to talk about a problem that I encountered, as what often sets a company apart is not how it acts when everything goes as planned but how it responds when an error has been made, and there was one large error on my job. (Even the best companies will make mistakes, as everyone is human, and we all make mistakes. But as long as a company addresses them quickly, there's usually no lasting issue). Sunshine Contracting's response was outstanding, showing how much they value the customer as well as how much pride they take in their work.
As context, my house is in a historic district, subject to special building requirements. This is not immediately obvious because the house itself is relatively young and at the very edge of the historic district. For that reason, I always notify contractors upfront about the requirements and I did so here as well. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication sometime after the contract had been signed, and the installers were unaware of the earlier communications on the city's requirements. This error was only discovered after they had done nearly a day's work.
Once it was identified, Noe (who schedules/manages installation teams) immediately took responsibility for the company's error and presented a plan on how to fix it. The fix was expensive, requiring more labor, additional materials, and a delay while the necessary permit was obtained. He assured me that the company would cover the costs, as the error had been on their end. With his response, he preemptively answered every question and eased every concern that I had. Though the job took a lot longer to complete than expected (city's permit review took over a month), I am impressed by the company's response and work ethic, and very happy with the windows as finally installed.

We had a great experience working with Sunshine Contracting to replace siding on our house. Everyone involved was very professional starting with the staff that scheduled our first meeting to provide an estimate. Our price estimate arrived quickly and was a very fair price. The project manager explained the construction process and kept us informed regarding schedules. The service crew was hard working, talented and respectful of our property.
The final product looks great. It is without hesitation that I recommend Sunshine Contracting.

Benjamin Hill was our first contact/sales person, and Nathan Sullivan was the project manager. We recently hired Sunshine Contracting Company for a large siding project, and we are very happy with the results. They also helped identify an old roofing problem that had been causing leaks even with small amounts of rain. They found the tricky area where water was getting through and replaced it with new materials. They were professional, knowledgeable, organized, and attentive to our concerns throughout the whole process.
After a disappointing experience with a previous roofing company, we especially appreciated how hard Sunshine Contracting worked to meet our requests and stay on schedule. They delivered excellent results, and I only wish we had known about them earlier.

Only thing that was good about this company was the salesman, the office worker Robin who was nice that I talked to, and the one production manager who knew what he was talking about when he came out. Provia makes a sturdy door, however the installation from sunshine is subpar. Have had to reach out a couple of times to get the door fixed after it was installed (a brand new over $10k door) that shouldn’t have had any issues to begin with. Don’t let their lifetime labor warranty fool you. It will be shotty work. They tried to do a DIY on a newly installed door. Had I not said anything, it would have been left looking janky. The door still looks janky in parts. Just don’t feel like having them come out again and making it look worse. I tried reaching out to ask a simple question about why I cannot remove the mesh screen for my storm door because it makes the glass door in the storm door wobbly without it. The salesman said they were interchangeable, however that does not seem to be the case. Once they get paid, good luck. Should have gone with another company. Had this been installed and looked good the first time, I would have been okay spending the significant amount of money.
