We had two sets of doors installed a few years back. At first the installation seemed ok but we have recently had a lot of issues with a sliding screen door on one door and have been trying to have someone anyone just care enough to fix the door. All of the parts helping the door slide have broken and the door was not assembled correctly on the track. We have reached out to Sunshine contracting and the manufacturer of the door to try and just get parts. We offered to fix it ourselves if someone would just help get the parts. The door is under warranty and it is absolutely an installation issue. We thought we were making progress when after months of trying we had a project manager come out and take pictures but he has since been radio silence. He said I’ll definitely help, took pictures said I’ll order a new door since clearly this is our installers fault and of course we have heard nothing! This has been very frustrating and what’s the point of a warranty when they won’t even return messages or call you back. Very dissatisfied with this company and would never recommend to anyone!

We had a great experience working with Sunshine Contracting to replace siding on our house. Everyone involved was very professional starting with the staff that scheduled our first meeting to provide an estimate. Our price estimate arrived quickly and was a very fair price. The project manager explained the construction process and kept us informed regarding schedules. The service crew was hard working, talented and respectful of our property. The final product looks great. It is without hesitation that I recommend Sunshine Contracting.

In May, we hired Sunshine Contracting after seeing them listed in Five Star Rated magazine. Initially, I was pleased with their proposal to install a new window with an estimated timeline of 6–8 weeks. We promptly paid the deposit and ordered materials, and were later given a tentative installation date of mid-June. During the walkthrough, the crew insisted on cutting out nearly an entire wall of drywall to inspect for potential electrical issues. I explained that there was only one outlet and requested a much smaller opening (still over five feet wide, but not floor-to-ceiling). This hole was left open and remained exposed until the window was eventually installed months later. By early to mid-June, I began following up to confirm the installation date. I was repeatedly told they were finalizing permits, which initially seemed reasonable. After several more weeks of similar responses, Sunshine finally told us that the project manager assigned to our job had quit and that our project had “slipped through the cracks.” At that point, they began rushing to secure permits and reschedule the installation. There were subsequent permitting delays with the county, which were not Sunshine’s fault. However, it later became clear that Sunshine had not even initiated the permit process until I specifically raised the issue, rather than starting it proactively while waiting for the materials to be delivered. Additionally, there was little urgency on their part to follow up with the county once the permits were submitted, requiring me to call nearly every day to get updates and push the process forward. Once the permits were approved, coordinating installers took another week. To Sunshine’s credit, they did move the installation up rather than placing us into their standard multi-week backlog. The window was finally installed in November—nearly six months after the project began, far beyond the promised 6–8 weeks and well after the summer, when we had hoped to enjoy the added natural light. The installation itself went smoothly (much in thank to the spectacular installer and the new project manager they assigned us), and they later returned to install the trim at no additional cost. I was initially told by the original project manager that trim was included, then later informed it would be extra, so I am unsure whether this was a goodwill gesture or a correction. Sunshine also provided a small monetary concession for the extensive delays, but given the months of frustration, constant follow-ups, and having a large hole in our wall for nearly half a year, the compensation felt insufficient and long overdue.

I have worked with Sunshine on two separate projects. They installed my roof in August 2022 and 12 windows in September 2023. The company is easy to communicate with and very responsive to questions. They provide a quality product at a competative price. My roof installation was done on time and my windows were installed several weeks ahead of schedule. While the window installation crew was friendly and fast, they were not very detail oriented. I had to ask them to fix gaps in the window trim and caulk. Additionally, they left quite a mess when they left. I found many sharp pieces of metal and nails laying around my back patio. My patio furniture cover was torn as they were removing the old windows. I would recommend using Sunshine, but be sure to inspect the workmanship before the crew leaves.

Did a great job installing new windows. Stayed late into the evening to make sure it was all done in one day to keep our family safe and warm. Came back the next day to thoroughly clean up and clean the windows!!
