Ky and the Nichols & Phipps team worked with me all day from 8am-4pm on the Saturday of MLK Day weekend to fix a very old oil furnace that needed hard-to-source parts. They tracked down the parts, called every oil vendor in the DC area to find someone who would come out on Saturday, and assured me that they would be with me until it was repaired. They even texted me that evening to make sure it was still working properly. If you want knowledgeable technicians and caring service, you cannot beat Nichols & Phipps.

I was looking for a new company to do my HVAC checkups in the fall and spring. I found Nichols Phipps in the Fairfax 2025 Top Pick Report last year and they have not let me down. Scheduling is very easy; the folks who answer the phone are courteous and responsive; the technicians are professional and knowledgeable; and everyone is friendly and nice.
I signed up for both inspections last fall - Luke came last fall and even changed my humidifier filter for me, Robert just came out and he checked the AC and made sure the furnace was burning efficiently. Both exceeded my expectations and I'm really happy I found this company. No repairs needed so far, but I would trust them to do the repairs if I did.
Looking forward to having them come back in the fall.

We are long term Nichols and Phipps customers. We had multiple bathroom plumbing issues recently. It was truly an emergency, but Steve, our tech, was an excellent problem solver and worked miracles for a very fair price. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience!

It's been an adventure just trying to hire someone to replace our water heater- out of 4 places we called to get estimates, Nichols and Phipps was hands down the most responsive, reasonable and personable. There is a whole story here but bottom line is, we went with Nichols and Phipps, their installation was great (I have hot water!) and they came back because to get the new water heater down the 84 year old basement staircase a door and frame had to be removed, so a very handy person reinstalled our frame and door. I highly recommend them.

Nick and his team did an outstanding job replacing all water supply lines in my new home. He was responsive, professional, tidy, on time and went above and beyond expectations to ensure the finished project was top quality and that I was happy. He also helped to connect me with an excellent drywall repair contractor - the whole experience could not have been better.
Additionally, Ky came by to correct an issue with HVAC. He was also outstanding, great work product, professional, gave me great peace of mind. After he left I promptly signed up for annual maintenance with the company because I am now a loyal customer!
